Problem

    Padjadjaran University or known by the abbreviation Unpad is one of the state universities in Indonesia. Unpad was founded on September 11, 1957, with a campus location in Bandung. Currently, Unpad has the status of a Legal Entity State University. Government Regulation Number 80 of 2014 concerning Designation of Unpad as a Legal Entity State University was signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, on October 17, 2014. After that, Government Regulation Number 51 of 2015 concerning Statutes of Padjadjaran University was signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, on 22 July 2015.

    PTN This legal entity is listed in Law Number 12 Year 12 concerning Higher Education. Article 65 of the Law states that the implementation of higher education autonomy can be given selectively based on performance by the Minister to PTNs. The form of autonomy in question consists of PTNs applying the pattern of Public Service Agency Financial Management (PK BLU) or Legal Entity PTNs. Unpad has implemented PK BLU autonomy since September 15 2008, and now has the mandate to increase the autonomy to become a PTN Legal Entity. The government’s trust in giving Unpad a mandate to become a Legal Entity PTN is the “fruit” of the long struggle of Unpad managers to maintain the quality and achievements of their students at the national and international levels.

    On January 16, 2014, Unpad received an accreditation certificate for higher education institutions “Accredited with Grade A” from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education. Furthermore, Unpad again received an “A” accreditation rating from BAN PT on December 19 2018.

    In addition, Unpad is also listed as a state university with the most interest in Indonesia in the National Selection for State University Entrance (SNMPTN) and Joint Selection for State University Entrance (SBMTPN) in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
